Climate change is becoming a big concern for both the UK and abroad. The Government has committed to reducing the carbon emissions of this country by 60% by 2050.
Did you know that buildings produce nearly half of the UK’s carbon emissions? That’s almost twice that of cars and planes. The way a building is constructed, insulated, heated, ventilated and the type of fuel used, all contribute to its carbon emissions Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) are being introduced to help improve the energy efficiency of buildings.
ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATE
An EPC is quite easy to understand. It uses an A to G rating the same as when you buy a new electrical appliance for your home, with A being the most efficient. These are required by law for all domestic sales and rental domestic properties, where the owner of the property is liable for the assessment. As a young company we will ensure you receive a quality first rate assessment that will fulfil all your requirements whether a landlord or you are selling your home.
DOMESTIC ENERGY ASSESSMENTS
If you are buying or selling a home you now need a certificate by law. From October 2008 EPCs will be required whenever a building is built, sold or let. The certificate provides 'A' to 'G' ratings for the building, with 'A' being the most energy efficient and 'G' being the least, with the average up to now being 'D'.Accredited energy assessors produce EPCs alongside an associated report which suggests improvements to make a building more energy efficient.
We as a company will ensure all your EPC needs are taken care of we will work to your time scale so we will only make appointments when it is convenient for you and once finished your EPC will be accessible through the internet or if this is not convenient we can provide you with a hard copy of the certificate for no extra charge. We look forward to hearing from you and working with you
